Rain is the only mirror
They call my neighbourhood "hard asphalt" – and say that rain is the only mirror that makes the people here beautiful.
Barcelona's Eixos Verds plan would turn one street in every three into a green corridor, and the first phase is built, most of it in the Eixample. The urban health researcher Tamara Iungman and colleagues ran the finished plan through a health impact assessment. It would prevent 183 premature deaths a year, 178 of them through the green itself and 5 through the cooling.
