To change one's gaze
I am afraid – even though I have not yet lived long enough to know that possibilities are not created by dreams,
but by the power of working to change one's gaze into something else.
Twelve controlled experiments have put children and teenagers in front of nature and then measured how they think. The psychologist Dianne Vella-Brodrick and Krystyna Gilowska went through all twelve, covering ages 5 to 18, and rated ten of them as sound. Across those ten the children got better at holding one thing in view and letting the rest go, which is what psychologists call selective attention.
